We bought this trike for our 2 year old with down syndrome. It is perfect for building his core, and for keeping him occupied when it would be too far for him to walk, and without the stroller restrictions. We love that the push handle can go so low; sometimes he even pushes his cousin! We did a lot of research and chose this trike over the other similar brands and are overall happy with our purchase. However, there are a few design flaws...
1. The handle should be able to go a little higher than it does. I am 5'1" and still feel as if the handle in its highest position is too low.
2. The brakes got stuck the first couple times we used them. We called customer service (which was quick and efficient) and they recommended we use WD40, which worked. Either that tip should be included in the building instructions, or the brake should work without needing the oil.
3. It takes a lot of steps to close and open the trike. While we'll get used to it, it is time consuming when we use this to go to and from therapies, and such.
4. The plastic "consul" can't really hold anything since it is very shallow. The cup holder says it is specifically for bottles but unless you use the really wide bottles, the bottle would fall out. My keys and cell phone couldn't balance in the shallow cavity either, and I decided to put them in the bag at the bottom.
