Cupholder holds cups just fine, just be mindful of the shape of the bottle. The holder has plastic pieces that sort of squeezes the bottle to keep it in place, but the baby straw bottle we have flares out at the bottom so it gets caught at the bottom. Smooth shaped cups/bottles should be fine. Haven't used the strap yet, so it just hangs out. Ring makes for great Bluetooth speaker holder.
